Welcome to the Troop 893 Website

Boy Scout Troop 893 is chartered by Centreville United Methodist Church (CUMC), 6400 Old Centreville Road. We meet on Tuesday’s at CUMC from 7:00 to 8:30 pm in full Class A uniform. Members of Troop 893 are given the user name and password for full access to the site. If you are interested in additional information about Troop 893, please contact Scoutmaster Dave Weisz (david.weisz@verizon.net).

The 16 March meeting is not a regular Troop Meeting, but we have three different activities (all start at 7:00pm) as follows:

a. Patrol Leaders Council - Class B Uniform: Scouts in current Troop Leadership positions and Patrol Leaders will meet to assess recent activities and complete detailed planning for the next month. Note: Den Chiefs do not need to attend.

We will meet at the church on Friday at 6:30 pm to load gear, collect permission slips (see attached), and ensure we have enough drivers. Planned events include Protect the Egg, Potato Hunt, Water-bottle Rockets, and a few Scottish games for fun (Caber Toss and Shot Put). There will also be a cooking contest for best Irish dish (cooked meal Saturday evening).
